Victoria + Albert: Seros Collection
Introducing a new level of luxury bathroom design, Victoria + Albert unveiled its Seros Collection at Milan Design Week 2024.
Created in collaboration with House of Rohl, the range consists of several unique bath and basin designs, each immaculately sculpted for aesthetic perfection and maximum comfort.
“For Seros, Vicotria + Albert commissioned sculptor Sophie-Elizabeth Thompson to create new forms as a basis for a completely original bathroom collection,” explains House of Rohl.
“The sculptures are beautiful and fascinating. Their flowing forms, shaped as the wind shapes the sand, reflect the modernism of Barcelona, Sophie’s adopted home.”
This provided the perfect platform for Victoria + Albert’s in-house design team, who together with the sculptor, worked to perfect the elegantly carved asymmetric exterior and a gently sloping interior along with a chamfered rim for comfortable soaks.
The collection includes the first podium basin for Victoria + Albert, as well as two sizes of bath (1650mm and 1780mm), and a vessel basin. All designs are available in a gloss or matte finish in a choice of over 196 RAL colours.
Commenting on her collaboration with House of Rohl and Victoria + Albert, Sophie says that “her best work comes from the feeling of absolute calm when I’m creating in my studio – whether I’m drawing or carving, I am not thinking about anything and feel completely at peach and happy” – a sense of tranquillity perfectly captured by the final Seros designs.
