Duravit: Luxury In A Small Bathroom

This small family bathroom is transformed into a luxurious feel-good room. Here, comfort is paired with minimalist aesthetics and timeless modernity. The full bathroom refit took place with stunning Duravit products.

Samira Kudsk and Søren Ellitsgaard, who both work in the creative sector, love to design their home around aesthetic principles with a touch of luxury. However, the bathroom in their classical 170 sqm apartment in Copenhagen’s Frederiksberg district was something of a let-down. Having put off the renovation for long enough, they opted for a full refit with Duravit products. Their new bathroom combines minimalistic aesthetics with a timeless modernity and features state-of-the-art technology. When it came to the colours, they took a chance on subtly matched grey and black tones. These were cleverly combined with carefully selected details.

Washing area: Happy D.2 Plus from Duravit with C.1 faucet

Despite the small footprint, professional planning helped create a feel-good room in which the family of four manages their everyday routine with ease – even at morning peak times.

Their everyday luxury comes in the form of a console from the Happy D.2 Plus range with above-counter basins for the washing area. With attractive rounded corners, handle-free fronts and matt surface, the Happy D.2 Plus console vanity unit from Duravit and sieger design imbues the bathroom with a sense of contemporary elegance.

The C.1 faucet in Matt Black is the perfect complement to the harmonious colour concept with a contrasting two-tone washbasin – Gloss White on the inside, Anthracite Matt on the outside.

The perfectly harmonized console vanity units in Graphite Super Matt offer storage space and two large drawers. Finely rounded contours, handle-free fronts and low material thicknesses reinforce the contemporary elegance of the range.

Mirror cabinet and shower-toilet for maximum everyday comfort

Behind its doors, the XViu mirror cabinet affords additional storage space for small care products. The integrated mirror heating is activated by icon control on the mirror surface, which reliably ensures that the surface of the mirror does not steam up – so one person can take a shower while another uses the washing area.

Similarly, the toilet incorporates state-of-the-art technology to enhance everyday life: the iconic SensoWash® Starck f shower-toilet is convenient and hygienic.

Harmonious colour concept and stylish details

The combination of the exclusive and state-of-the-art surfaces with their dark shades creates a subtle and elegant ensemble in the room that exudes great calmness as a result. The cool blue of the wall creates an effective contrast. Deploying a range of materials and textures produces an elegant and sophisticated look that is simultaneously contemporary and timeless.

SensoWash® Starck f Plus

The SensoWash® Starck f shower-toilet from Duravit and designer Philippe Starck is convenient to operate via remote control. It is freely configurable via an app, with a minimalist design and maximum shower-toilet comfort. All of the technology is housed within the ceramic body. The flat seat with a height of just 40 mm and the white cover located behind it form a flush-mounted unit. The contemporary design and comfort-enhancing technology is in perfect harmony.
