Plascon House Tour: Victorian Terrace
A monochrome delight, today’s home is beautiful in simplicity and boasts a real sense of tranquil family living that flows from the Victorian doorway right through to every room of this home. Step inside this 100 year-old terrace which received a Victorian-French makeover!
Behind an elegant Victorian facade, the project updated a century-old terrace, transforming it into an effortless space that puts a modern spin on traditional Parisian design with a respectful nod to the building’s Victorian heritage. In the living room, stunning sheer white drapes dress the entire back wall, hinting at a play of light and soft textures that create a peaceful interior space – ideal for family living. The striking green occasional chair is a feature in this space and stands out against the white backdrop. We also love the modern grey sofa system here, adding another level of comfort here.
From here, designers focussed on simplicity and quality in materials and colours chosen for the space, resulting in a refined monochrome palette. Beautiful wooden flooring in dark timber brings it all together.
The kitchen too is a classic space in white and black with wrap around cabinetry that extends all the way up the walls. French-inspired doors lead to the rest of the home while modern appliances, simple design and a monochrome palette give the kitchen a traditional feel with high-end finishes.
The bedroom too is pristine and celebrates a simple way of living. Minimal colour and simple furnishings give it a contemporary flair.
