Bjarke Ingels Group – BIG – Included our Bubble in their latest project in Sweden
by
Studio Stirling
Nestled in a Lapland pine forest some 30 miles south of the Arctic Circle, Treehotel is a boutique property comprising just eight cabins, each conceived by a different Scandinavian architect.
BIG’s contribution is a 370-square-foot folly, built of local timber, its steel-grid exoskeleton supporting 350 birdhouses of varying size and shape, creating a “spherical swarm of nests,” partner-in-charge Bjarke Ingels explains.
About Studio Stirling
In the world of contemporary design, our original hanging swing chairs emerge as striking icons. Each chair, meticulously handcrafted from steel, embodies a perfect fusion of comfort and style, inviting a luxurious experience of art and relaxation.
Our popular models, the nest egg, bubble and leather sling are timeless classics that make a bold statement. They redefine any space—be it a chic urban loft or a serene outdoor retreat— suspended in a sunlit garden or gracing the refined interiors of a modern living or working space.
