This Cape Town pied-à-terre, near to the V&A Waterfront’s Silo Precinct, was conceptualised as a blank canvas for the owner’s growing collection of South African and African art.
The precinct is anchored by the Zeitz MOCAA, which is not only the most significant art museum in the world dedicated to artists from Africa and the diaspora but is also a local architectural landmark designed by the UK’s Thomas Heatherwick. Much of the district’s artistic and creative character derives from its presence.
About OKHA
OKHA is a leading design studio that creates material driven, luxury furniture, lighting and objet d’art. Led by creative director, Adam Court, OKHA pieces reflect the perfect ecology of asymmetry and balance. By favouring artisanal over industrial production, OKHA imprints its pieces with the human touch, lending them a characteristic quality that reveals its nuances over time. OKHA facilitates everyday encounters with beauty, creating lifelong furniture that distinctly defines confident, personal narratives and interiors. The OKHA flagship store is in Cape Town with representation in key design galleries internationally.
Founded in 1997 by South African architects SAOTA.
