About Barrydale Hand Weavers
At Barrydale Hand Weavers we create high-quality hand-crafted fabrics specialising in homeware. We believe in timeless designs that accentuate the beauty of the natural locally sourced yarns that we use. We embrace opportunities to collaborate with other designers to develop bespoke or exclusive ranges.
We are a people powered business and we do as much as we possibly can by hand, enabling us to create the greatest number of job opportunities in our community. We actively minimise outsourcing and try to train and develop individual talents from within our business.
Our products celebrate the ancient craft of hand weaving and the beauty of the natural materials that we use. Our supply chain is committed to sourcing all the raw materials and consumables we need from South Africa. We predominately work with cotton and this is bought from South African textile mills who use a mostly South Africa grown raw cotton in their yarns.
We sell our core range of products to wholesale and retail customers in South Africa and internationally but we also work with interior designers and decorators to develop products to specific design mood boards or briefs. We can develop these exclusive products at competitive rates and relatively small minimum quantities, making it an attractive option.
