The Versatility of REHAU uPVC windows and doors

A window is not just a window, it is an important part of a building that protects us from the outside elements whilst allowing in air and light when needed.

There are several window and door systems to choose from, such as uPVC, aluminum, wood and steel. Each one has its own merits and advantages. So what differentiates REHAU’s uPVC windows and doors from the other systems?

The uPVC frame is what makes REHAU’s uPVC windows unique, as it is a thick, sturdy profile with three chambers.  uPVC frames offer many advantages such as :

  • Longevity and durability. REHAU’s uPVC windows and doors last for many years, without needing sanding, painting or varnishing. Some of REHAU’s installations done over 26 years in Cape Town are still in excellent condition.
  • Ability to house two panes of glass – or just one. Double glazing increases energy savings as the temperature outside does not influence the inside of a home as much as with single glazing.  It also reduces outside noise and enhances safety at home.
  • Choice of normal hardware or multi-point locking hardware for extra security. Multi-point locking hardware consists of multiple strikers placed along the closing section of the frame, which grip into lock keeps located in the steel-reinforced uPVC frame.
  • Frames can be dual colored: anthracite grey for the exterior of the home and white for the interior.
