Ottimo Cibo is run from Nikki Booth’s home, a house of grand proportions, built on a large property in Higgovale. Set beneath Table Mountain and flanked by Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, Nikki’s home and garden provide a unique venue for relaxed culinary indulgence.

The architect’s concept was a European style slim steel frame to maximise views available from the site and to lend a light industrial feeling to the house. Integrity of materials was imperative and generally the finishes in the house suggest this as a unifying concept throughout.

The result is a versatile space perfect to host an intimate celebration, whether it’s for 10 or 100 people. Ottimo Cibo will create an intimately stylish event. Each Private Dining Experience unique. A stylish backdrop of our Metal Windows Forman Brand steel systems – window & door products were used throughout the property. The stacking of multiple small-pane fixed windows, to create one massive frame above large-format steel doors in the atrium forms the central core and grand entrance to this magnificent property.

These superior quality slim line steel products were custom configured: We increased the scale of doors & windows; placed slim clerestory windows above doors (enhancing the height & volume); created exaggerated door openings and larger ratios of window to wall than usual. These design details combine to deliver a great sense of open space, light and volume in this private dining venue, cooking school and home.
