Metal Windows: Transforming Homes in 2023.

2023 has been a year of remarkable transformations at Metal Windows. We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with visionary architects and homeowners, breathing new life into spaces with our innovative metal windows and doors. Let’s revisit some of our most cherished projects:

  1. HOUSE HELDRAY NOORDHOEK:

This “Grande Dame” in Noordhoek, once grand but closed off, was ready to waltz into a new era. We partnered with designer Arti Canaris to transform the home, removing walls and replacing them with light-flooded conservatories. Our custom steel-framed windows and doors, engineered with I-beams, now offer unobstructed vistas and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Authenticity was key, and the project shines as a testament to our ability to modernize while preserving a home’s heritage.

  1. WINELANDS ESTATE STEEL WINDOWS AND DOORS, PAARL VALLEY:

Nestled amongst rolling vineyards, this Winelands estate demanded windows that echoed its refined elegance. We crafted steel windows and doors boasting slim sightlines and a timeless aesthetic. The black frames contrasted beautifully against the warm stone exterior, creating a sophisticated interplay of materials. Each window, meticulously crafted, became a portal framing the breathtaking scenery, forever connecting the home to its surroundings.

  1. HOUSE PRESTAGE SUNSET BEACH:

Facing the vast expanse of the ocean, House Prestage demanded windows as boundless as the view. We replaced the existing ones with expansive aluminium windows and sliding doors, blurring the lines between interior and exterior. The ocean breeze now dances through the home, while the sleek lines of the windows complement the contemporary architecture. This project is an ode to the transformative power of windows, opening the home not just to the elements, but to the very soul of the seaside.

  1. HOUSE STEENKAMP KENILWORTH:

This grand old Kenilworth home held stories within its walls, yearning to be reawakened. We were entrusted with the delicate task of updating the windows while respecting the home’s history. Timber windows were replaced with thermally-treated aluminium, replicating the original profiles and muntin bars. The transformation was remarkable – the home retained its charm while gaining modern functionality, ready for many more chapters to unfold.

  1. LA CAMARGUE APARTMENT RENOVATION:

This once-tired apartment in La Camargue was ready to blossom. We helped it do just that by installing aluminium windows and doors that maximized natural light and created a sense of openness. Gone were the bulky frames, replaced by sleek lines that emphasized the apartment’s elegant proportions. The new windows not only invited the sunshine in, but also framed the city’s vibrant energy, transforming the space into a haven of light and life.

These projects are just a glimpse into a year filled with remarkable transformations. At Metal Windows, we’re not just creating windows; we’re shaping the stories of the spaces they inhabit. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of these journeys and look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible with metal in 2024 and beyond.
