American Shutters: Quiet Reflection
Often a home’s smallest, yet busiest room, there is an ever-increasing focus on how to transform the bathroom from humble practical origins to an elevated spa-like sanctuary. This room has the potential to add real style and financial value to a home.
Let’s take a look into this gorgeous Sandton home bathroom and how the team from AMERICAN Shutters helped to create a quiet escape that reflects the home’s elegant style and class.
AMERICAN shutters installed two different shutter ranges in this home’s generous primary bathroom: Decowood™ Shutters and Woodbury Waterproof Shutters. Both shutter ranges are suitable for use in a bathroom environment. However, where there is high moisture or direct water contact, Woodbury Waterproof Shutters are the recommended choice.
Decowood™ Shutters were installed on the bathroom windows. Furthermore this range was also used as a room divider between the bedroom and bathroom. This subsequently provides privacy when needed. It also creates a modern seamless flow between the two rooms, allowing the bathroom to be a real showcase in the space.
Because they are 100% waterproof, Woodbury Waterproof Shutters were installed in the shower area.
Both ranges were finished in a silk white finish. Rather than the hidden gear tilt system, the shutters feature a central tilt rod. This complements some of the more traditional features of the bathroom, such as the free-standing tub, and cabinet design and hardware.
