They believe that “an attractive window and the right light can change everything – from your room to your mood”. As such, here they share some ideas on how to freshen up your home for summer.
- Keep it light and bright
We all know that sunlight is good for the body and the mind but you still want to protect yourself and your home against harsh rays. To do this, choose a window covering such as Luxaflex’s Silhouette Shades that gently filters through light and that can easily be adjusted if more block-out is required. - Let the air flow through your home with shutters
Shutters have many benefits: they are decorative, can offer added security and give you considerable control over the amount of light and privacy in a room. Another benefit is that they can simultaneously let air flow through your home, keeping it nice and cool in the summertime. - Layer window coverings
“Layering window coverings with a soft sheer curtain adds a beautiful softness, movement and texture to the room,” says Neale Whitaker, Luxaflex Brand Ambassador. So up the style ante with blinds or shades by layering soft, sheer curtains over it for a smart, sophisticated look this season.
