Reimagine the Festive Season with Taj Cape Town

For this festive season, Taj Cape Town is providing masses of cheer, along with its customary luxury, topped with all the trimmings, ribbons, bells and whistles. Whether you are a guest or visiting one of the restaurants, Taj Cape Town will delight you with a tempting array of celebratory options.

A Dash of Festive in your Afternoon Tea

Forget your usual afternoon scone with cream and jam, because on selected days in December 2019, Taj Cape Town’s Festive Afternoon Tea will give guests a superb collection of teas and uniquely sumptuous sweet and savoury dishes. The menu includes, as an example, Bobotie Lamb Pie, Marshmallow Snowmen as well as Caprese Vol au Vent and Berry Trifle. Taking place in The Lobby Lounge and Bar from 2pm – 6pm, the afternoon tea costs R295 per person and includes either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic welcome drink as well as a selection of teas and coffee.

Christmas Feasts at Mint Restaurant and Terrace and Bombay Brasserie

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both Mint Restaurant and Terrace and Bombay Brasserie at Taj Cape Town is giving guests the chance to dine either buffet-style at Mint Restaurant and Terrace or to enjoy a plated set menu at Bombay Brasserie.

On Christmas Eve, Mint Restaurant and Terrace will be serving a buffet dinner at R845 per person; and on Christmas Day, Mint will serve a buffet lunch at R945 per person. Both days include either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic welcome drink and will be serving the festive cheer in the form of dishes like Line Fish and Mango Ceviche, Herb crusted Sirloin as well as Vanilla Poached Salmon and Christmas Mince Pies.

At Bombay Brasserie, guests may enjoy their plated set menu for dinner on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both include a Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian set menus. The cost is R1250 per person and includes a choice of a welcome drink.

Ring in the New Year

The Reserve will be hosting a Dinner Dance Buffet at a cost of R1550 per person, Bombay Brasserie will be serving its set menu at a cost of R1895 per person, while Mint Restaurant and Terrace’s à la carte menu will be served to guests.

On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, live entertainment will be filling the hotel with some delightful classical and festive music.
