Outdoor living spaces are a South African tradition. They’re where people relax, gather with family and friends, and make memories under the glorious sunshine. Today’s modern outdoor room blends comfort with creativity, mixing colours, patterns, textures, and curated pieces that reflect unique style and personality. Plaisir du Jardin brings this approach to life through outdoor pieces that add character and comfort to these versatile spaces.

Whether it’s a small apartment balcony, a townhouse stoep, a sprawling patio with lounge and dining zones, or a lush back garden, any outdoor space can become a beautifully defined room of its own.

Natural Woven Textures

Natural woven textures bring warmth, softness, and an organic rhythm into an outdoor room. Their tactile surfaces create a sense of relaxed comfort, making the space feel instantly inviting. These woven elements balance modern architecture with an earthy contrast, adding serenity and grounding the overall design. They’re perfect for encouraging slow living and quiet moments outdoors.

Rattan Highlights

Patterned Carpets & Rugs

Patterned carpets and rugs bring depth, movement, and visual interest to outdoor living areas. They define zones, soften hard surfaces, and introduce colour in expressive, intentional ways. Whether bold or subtle, playful or refined, patterns add personality that transforms an outdoor area into a true room. Their underfoot comfort also encourages barefoot living, connecting the space to everyday rhythms.

Patterned Accessories

Accessories are the finishing touches that complete an outdoor room.
