Africotta Installation of the Year Award: Showcasing South Africa’s Finest Creative Spaces
Every exceptional space tells a story. It is a story of vision, creativity, collaboration, craftsmanship, and the careful selection of materials that bring a concept to life. From beautifully detailed hospitality environments and luxury residential projects to inspiring commercial spaces and landscape installations, the South African design industry continues to produce work that deserves to be celebrated.
To recognise these achievements, Africotta is inviting architects, interior designers, landscape architects, developers, installers, and design professionals to enter the Africotta Installation of the Year Award.
This exciting industry initiative has been created to honour completed projects that showcase the beauty, versatility, and application of Africotta products. More than simply recognising outstanding installations, the award aims to shine a spotlight on the talented individuals and teams behind the projects that are shaping South Africa’s built environment.
Whether incorporated into a contemporary residential retreat, a sophisticated hospitality destination, a commercial development, or a public space, Africotta products have become synonymous with timeless design, authentic character, and enduring craftsmanship. The Installation of the Year Award provides an opportunity for professionals to share their work with a wider audience while gaining valuable industry recognition.
The competition celebrates projects that demonstrate creativity, technical excellence, and thoughtful integration within their surroundings. It is an opportunity for designers and project teams to showcase how materials can transform spaces, elevate experiences, and create lasting visual impact.
Beyond industry recognition, entrants will benefit from exposure across Africotta’s print, digital, social media, and editorial platforms, placing their work in front of homeowners, specifiers, architects, designers, developers, and industry decision-makers nationwide.
Participants are invited to submit completed projects featuring Africotta products, accompanied by high-quality imagery and project information. While all submitted images remain the property of the entrant and/or photographer, entry into the competition grants permission for the images to be used by Africotta for promotional, editorial, marketing, public relations, digital, print, website, newsletter, and social media purposes related to the competition and future marketing initiatives. Appropriate credit will be given wherever possible to the designer, architect, installer, photographer, or entrant unless anonymity is requested.
The winning project will receive industry exposure and will be featured across multiple platforms. The winner should also be prepared to participate in photography, videography, interviews, and promotional activities with the creative team, helping to share the story behind their exceptional installation with a wider audience.
As South Africa’s design and architectural sectors continue to evolve, initiatives such as the Africotta Installation of the Year Award play an important role in recognising the people, projects, and ideas driving the industry forward. It is an opportunity to celebrate excellence, inspire creativity, and showcase the remarkable potential of thoughtful design and outstanding craftsmanship.
If you have created a project that demonstrates innovation, attention to detail, and the transformative power of Africotta products, now is the time to share your work and take your place among the industry’s most inspiring projects.
Entries are now open. Let your project be seen, celebrated, and recognised as one of South Africa’s most outstanding installations of the year.
