We’re Going Marvellously Moroccan With The Lighting Warehouse
Happy-go-lucky bohemian interiors are becoming increasingly sought after in today’s Digital Age.
So says Melissa Davidson from leading lighting supplier, The Lighting Warehouse: “Bohemian-inspired interiors have a tendency of adding some genuine humanity to our increasingly technology-infused lifestyles – they are usually brimming with antique finds, handmade treasures and globally-inspired items that add some magic from far-off lands. They tell a story, pique our imagination and are lusciously decadent.”
She notes that since the beginning of the mainstream popularity of the bohemian style, Moroccan décor has always played its part: “Moroccan décor brings a flair for the dramatic to any décor composition. It represents the African country that has been decorating with lanterns, patterns, and hand-woven, colourful textiles for centuries. Elements of grand Moroccan spaces, architecture and design have inspired visitors and have increasingly found their way into mainstream residential homes.”
Tangiers
Metal lamps and pendants, such as the Tangiers range from The Lighting Warehouse for example, are a classic décor element seen in Moroccan and bohemian décor styles. The cut-out patterns on these lights allow for pinpoints of light to shine through, and add a hint of the magical to a room.
However, Melissa notes that Moroccan-style pendants can be used to great effect to complement bohemian decor, as well as a whole host of other décor styles: “It’s a style that can be meshed with nearly every form of décor – from traditional to minimalist and modern – and it will certainly catch the eyes and hearts of each guest who enters your home.”
