Spotlight: Lumen 8

LUMEN 8 was born in 1998, designing & producing light fittings with a commission from the developers of Heritage Square in Cape Town to design and supply wall lights.

Following on from this, in order to complement the light fittings, they designed a range of light switches and as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Today LUMEN 8 have major premises in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town where they manufacture bespoke switchgear. This is also the administrative headquarters with additional showrooms in Cape Quarter, Cape Town and Bryanston, Johannesburg.

The team understand the complexities involved in selecting light switches, dimmers and socket outlets, and are dedicated to finding ways of refining both the process and product to make the customer experience an enjoyable, stress free one.

Their process is to consult, specify, quote, and manufacture. Due to the bespoke service offered, a certain amount of time is required for manufacture, much like a fine dining restaurant requiring time to produce your sumptuous meal.

LUMEN 8 assist in selecting your tailor-made switchgear down to the finest detail by collaborating with architects, engineers and homeowners etc. They provide various options into bespoke possibilities and all orders are manufactured according to your specifications. The Q-BIC range:
