Pick of the Week: Fly by Kartell
Colour your home with Fly by Kartell. Be inspired by the elegant metallic finishes and energetic colours of this stylish lighting solution. It’s easy to see why this is our pick of the week!
Fly is imaginative, modern and visually intriguing. You can delight in the decorations by the kids’ line and in the energy of 12 pure colours. An essential lamp which is characterized by the “subtle interpretation of the theme”, Fly is made in transparent methacrylate in all the colours of the rainbow. The cover is not perfectly hemispherical but the cut-off is underneath the height of the diameter to collect the most light.
What’s more, the special transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours bring to mind a soap bubble, iridescent with reflections of light. With twelve invigorating colourways, what more could you ask for! Shades include Clear, Sky Blue, Petrol Blue, Sage, Yellow, Orange, Red, Cardinal Red, Cobalt, Emerald, Opaque White and Opaque Black. Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, Fly forms part of a movement of innovative Italian lighting.
Laviani is part of a generation of young Italian designers who came to prominence in the early 1990’s when the Memphis movement made its mark on international design. He is no stranger to lighting design, and Fly is evidence of this designer’s evolution and commitment to lighting innovation with global appeal. Illuminate your home in true Kartell style. Fly offers a versatile range of bespoke lighting to suit the modern lifestyle. It is true designer inspiration for the home!
