Lights by Linea: A Look Inside Labotessa Boutique Hotel, Cape Town
Located in the vibrant city centre of Cape Town, surrounded by the cobbled historical area of Church Square, five-star Labotessa Luxury Boutique Hotel is immersed in the elements of the area. It dates back to the 17th century.
Labotessa is the culmination of a love for art, history, luxury, design, and uncomplicated sophistication. All Suites represent a fusion between state-of-the-art technology and historical design. From conception to completion the Labotessa founders echoed a vision of functionality within luxury living.
This vision has embodied the attention to detail in all of the Suites. This vision is carried through to the Labotessa Fragrance Boutique, and in the unsurpassed hospitality of every moment of a hotel stay or visit to the Labotessa Café & Terrace. Labotessa’s simple sophistication thus makes it ideal at any age, at any time.
Offering world-class hospitality, Labotessa is a catalyst for genuine connections, meaningful encounters, and unique memories. Behind its majestic 17th-century façade lies an opulent urban oasis that invigorates body, mind, and soul.
Take a step inside
The details speak for themselves… At Labotessa, the rooms are dressed in soothing, sophisticated Farrow & Ball colours. Upholstery from Cape Town’s Urban Fabrics and original art from recognised talents such as Rina van Zyl adorn the spaces. The maxibar cubbies also include Nespresso machines and Smeg fridges thoughtfully filled with jars of local deli goods and fresh milk.
Furthermore, Simmons beds combine memory foam and pocketed coil springs. Sheer luxury at its best. Celebrities wanting to fly under the radar can also commandeer the penthouse, hosting meetings or soirees in the sitting room. Additionally, this features a plunge pool on the balcony, with the private quarters completely separated above.
According to The Telegraph, it’s the inky blues, soothing ochres and burnt oranges that set the tone here. With ceiling-to-floor drapes and rich tactile home-quality fabrics that complement the generous proportions of the property, with a sophisticated palette unique to each suite. A European-inspired aesthetic is evoked in the chandeliers and fireplaces. Additionally, Olfactory folks will enjoy the scent of Dr Vranjes and Penhaligon’s from the very start of their stay. Similarly, auditory snobs can delight in playlists served on Sonos sound systems.
Some time ago, Lights by Linea completed an incredible project at Labotessa Luxury Boutique Hotel. The team felt incredibly proud to have been a part of the incredible lighting journey. The seven-key boutique hotel balances old-world charm and on-point style. It offers space and the height of chic in suites which feel like your own private pieds à terre in the CBD.
Visit Labotessa to discover this gem for yourself and check out Lights by Linea to start your own remarkable lighting journey.
