Inova Contracts: JWDA Floor Lamp

One such design is the JWDA Floor Lamp. Bridging heritage and contemporary design, Danish roots and global ambition, the design is part of a collection of lighting inspired by traditional oil lamps. Crafted from contrasting materials, the elegant yet bold design is a lesson in refinement with an elliptical opal glass shade elegantly balanced on a slender metal stem and functionality with its rectangular marble base fitted with a dimmer switch.

Available in White Marble or Bronzed Glass, the lamp was designed by Jonas Wagell, a Swedish architect and designer who is widely revered for his modern product and furniture design comprising soft, minimalist shapes with a welcoming expression.

He founded Studio JWDA in 2008. Located in the Old Town of Stockholm, recent clients and collaborative relations stretch from Scandinavia to China, Italy and North America. The studio primarily focuses on product and furniture design but occasionally also consults on art and design direction.
