Brabantia is here to make laundry less of a chore.
Laundry, like most other household chores, can be a bore. Worse, it can be a downright hassle if you don’t have the right help.
Luckily, Brabantia is here with all the accessories and tools you may ever need to make laundry day more enjoyable.
Here are their top tips and tricks:
Make your laundry space beautiful
Who said laundries had to be cramped, dark or ugly? Create a pretty, light-filled space where you’d be happy spending time sorting, folding and ironing.
Make sure you have sufficient lighting, plugs and work space, and include some entertainment like a radio or television screen to keep you company while you work.
Once you’ve chosen a design or style for your space, it’s time to start kitting it out with the right equipment.
Kit it out with the right accessories
First off, you will need laundry bins and bags. A great option is to have one or two extra ones on hand that you can swap out with hampers that have been filled.
Another great idea is also to have “whites” and “darks” hampers in the laundry for sorting dirty laundry into piles.
Of course, you will need a washing machine and a dryer. Or even two of each – many large, busy households opt for multiple machines to get through loads quicker.
Next, you will need drying racks. Ideally, you want one outside for when it’s sunny and one inside for when it isn’t. There are loads of options to choose from, including foldable racks and wall-mounted racks.
“If you have more space available, you can also opt for a rotary clothesline,” says Brabantia. “You can also choose the Wallfix: an easily foldable drying rack that you can mount to the wall.”
Brabantia also stocks accessories such as pegs, clothes bags and clothes brushes to help you not only get clothes clean but keep them clean and looking good for longer.
When it comes to ironing, Brabantia has even more great accessories to help lighten your workload, including ironing boards and covers.
They also have some super clever tips to help you cut down on laundry: “Don’t iron kids’ clothes – simply put it in the dryer for a few minutes: remove it when it’s nice and hot, shake it out and fold it.”
“You also don’t need to iron bedding: the quickest way to get your fitted sheets and duvet covers wrinkle-free is hanging them out when they are still slightly damp, for example, over a staircase balustrade. Then simply fold and store once dry.”
Voila! Laundry made easy!
