Resident in the Showroom Fabri Porto, and soon in Joburg from June 2024, the classic timeless model from the Traditional Fabri line evokes a sense of nostalgia. Step into the soothing hue of Fabri’s Green Cambucci, where the sturdy table stands proudly in the center, inviting gatherings and conversations over steaming cups of coffee and homemade treats.
This kitchen model is Alentejo, named after the beautiful and peaceful region in South Portugal where the rustic whitewashed villages and ancient olive groves embody a sense of rural beauty and invite you to slow down. The Country doors are lacquered in Fabri’s Green Cambucci, with an embossed frame and a matte finish. The opening system is through old brushed golden handles, for a timeless charm look. The cupboard frame matches the same green lacquered colour, same as the fronts of the inside shelves, with clear glass in the front – that allows you to peek inside the carefully chosen items that will always be under the eyes of those who visit the space.
The lighting inside the cabinets, display the pieces like a work of art. The new but conveniently old-looking faucet lies above the porcelain sink with farmhouse vibes and stands in front of the wall covering that becomes its canvas. The chosen material for the wall covering and countertop follows the same Dekton ceramic of the centre table, with a subtly vein marble look.

But it is not just the furniture that makes this kitchen a testament of vintage charm. The modern yet retro design of SMEG’s home appliances was carefully chosen to transport you to another era. The imperfect handmade ceramic kitchenware and the hanging white lamps all contribute to the storytelling of Fabri’s Traditional model, that captures the look of bygone eras but provides a modern convenience that seamlessly blend in, offering the best of both worlds in a living space.
A kitchen that invites you to savour de moment with functionality of today, and appreciate the simple pleasures of life with the beauty of the past.
