Aside from being a space-saving solution, Miele’s washer-dryers offer a comparatively impressive load capacity, starting at 8kg for wash programmes, and 5kg for combined wash and drying programmes. It also enables you to wash and dry really small loads in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. What’s more, thanks to its new digital services, Miele’s new WT1 is one of the smartest washer-dryers on the market – optimising functionality and convenience.

Wash and dry individual items in under an hour

Want to wear your favourite item of clothing again without having to wait ages for it to be washed and dried? Miele offers a quick and convenient solution: depending on the programme, its Single Wash&Dry option allows individual items of laundry to be washed and dried quickly and in an environmentally-friendly manner. Combined with the “Shirts”, “Delicates” or “Minimum iron” programmes, most garments will be ready to wear again in less than an hour. Jon notes: “With a Miele washer-dryer, there is really no need to wait until you have a pile of dirty laundry, or to feel guilty about the environmental impact of washing just a single item.”

Smart aids for optimum time and hygiene management

“In order to find out when a load of laundry is complete, all you need to do is to simply take a look at the Miele app. Or for even more convenience, simply ask Amazon Alexa. Miele’s WT1 washer-dryer is network-enabled – making this possible,” explains Jon. He lists other notable smart highlights, which include:

AddLoad: Even after the programme has started, AddLoad allows items to be placed in the washer-dryer or taken out again right up to the end of the wash process, simply by using the regular door. AddLoad can be controlled either at the appliance or via the Miele app.

CareAssistant: This feature enables the Anti-crease settings to be extended – a useful feature if you are delayed getting home and cannot empty the machine straight away. Instead of running the standard settings of 30 minutes for washing or 150 minutes for drying, Anti-crease can be set in 30-minute intervals up to a maximum of 240 minutes instead – giving you the extra time you need.

TimeAssistant: If the programme is taking much longer than initially announced, the TimeAssistant passes this information on to the user. Particularly when drying, as the actual running time is often difficult to predict. This allows you to better plan and manage your time.

HygieneAssistant: The HygieneAssistant notifies the user when machine cleaning is recommended. If they wish, users can start the cleaning programme straight away directly from the app. In addition, the hygiene status can be called up in the app at any time.

CapDosing portioned dispensing:

Miele’s single-use capsules are a solution for special types of laundry. Made from 100% recycled plastic, they go into the fabric conditioner compartment. The content of a capsule is perfect for a single wash cycle – there is no risk of adding too much or too little detergent. There are 6 special-purpose detergents to choose from, plus 3 fabric conditioners, the ImpraProtect proofing agent, Booster for stubborn soiling and CottonRepair.

QuickPower:

The QuickPower function provides you with maximum freedom. The innovative Spin&Spray wash technology ensures even shorter programme running times. Your laundry is spun briefly and sprayed with water via the suds circulation system. This means that you can wash 4 kg of laundry in just 49 minutes – with the usual excellent washing and rinsing performance. With the drying programme, your Miele washer-dryer will run for less than three hours.

TwinDos^® automatic detergent dispensing:

Automatic dispensing with TwinDos^® is not only practical, but also guarantees perfect cleanliness: with UltraPhase 1 and 2 your appliance offers the best liquid detergent system. TwinDos^® dispenses UltraPhase 1 and 2 at the optimum time during the programme and thus achieves the very best wash results. TwinDos^® also dispenses with such precision that you can save up to 30 % on detergent compared to manual dispensing.

Thermo spin:

Before drying, the garments are tumbled in a current of hot air while the spin speed is gradually increased. This reduces the water content in your laundry before the actual drying cycle begins which saves time and electricity.

Energy efficiency:

Miele washer-dryers save time and energy in operation. All models have been rated as class A, the highest energy efficiency class for washing. In the drying process, traditional condensation technology is used for short programme running times.
