Kwikot HVAC Solutions Expand into South Africa

Keeping a building comfortable is no longer simply about switching on the air conditioning when it gets hot or turning up the heat when temperatures drop. Air & Water Solutions

The move follows Kwikot becoming part of Haier in 2024 and sees the company introduce an Air & Water Solutions portfolio spanning air conditioning, heating, ventilation, water heating and water purification.

For homeowners, that includes residential split and integrated air-conditioning units alongside heat-pump heating and water-purification systems. On the commercial side, the offering stretches to light-commercial air conditioning, VRF systems, chillers, control solutions and ventilation platforms catering for airflow requirements from 30 to 16,000 cubic metres per hour.

But the thinking behind the expansion goes beyond introducing more products. As energy costs place greater pressure on households and businesses, the systems responsible for heating, cooling and hot water are increasingly being considered together rather than as entirely separate decisions.

Kwikot is also placing considerable emphasis on what happens after a system has been chosen. A dedicated local HVAC team will support product selection and specification, as well as installation, commissioning and ongoing servicing – important details when even an energy-efficient product can underperform if it has been incorrectly specified or installed.

Backing the local offering is Haier’s international research, development and manufacturing infrastructure, combined with Kwikot’s established South African distribution and technical network.

For a company long associated with hot water, HVAC marks a notable new chapter. It also reflects a broader shift in the way people think about comfort at home and at work, not as a collection of individual appliances, but as connected systems that need to perform efficiently together.
