Heating with Style: The Stunning Lacunza Atlantic Range
As an interior designer with decades of experience in creating comfortable, stylish living spaces, I am truly excited about the Lacunza Atlantic range. This collection of freestanding wood-burning stoves represents everything we look for in contemporary heating solutions: exceptional efficiency, stunning design, and versatility for different room configurations.
What immediately draws the eye is the impressively large viewing glass – the largest you’ll find in any freestanding closed-combustion fireplace available. This feature transforms the fireplace from a mere heating appliance into a focal point, creating the wonderful ambience we all desire in our living spaces.
The Atlantic 614 and 604 models, with their elegant four-leg design, provide an output of 12-14kW while maintaining clean lines and modern aesthetics. For those in search of something more dramatic, the Atlantic 615 and 605 models seem to float above their log base, creating a gorgeous visual statement while mirroring their siblings’ impressive heat output.
One of my favourite pieces in the collection is the Atlantic 613R corner fireplace. As designers, we are always seeking intelligent ways to maximise space, and this model brilliantly transforms often underutilised corners. With its integrated log storage base and an output of 8-14kW, it is both practical and beautiful.
For smaller spaces, the Atlantic 503 is an ideal solution. A compact version of the popular 603, it efficiently heats areas up to 85m² while maintaining the same high standards of design and functionality. With 82% efficiency and a heat output of 8-12kW, it demonstrates that smaller doesn’t equate to less effective.
In addition to the aforementioned characteristics, what distinguishes the Atlantic range is its emphasis on practical details. The dual air control system provides precise control over output and burn rate – a feature that owners will value, literally. The self-cleaning glass air wash system maintains a clear view of the flames, while the removable ashtray makes maintenance simple and clean.
Environmental consciousness is increasingly important in modern design, and the Atlantic series exceeds expectations here, too. With the Flamme Verte 7-star certification and compliance with Eco-Design 2022 requirements, these fireplaces represent responsible luxury. The ‘A’ European efficiency rating means less wood consumption and cleaner burning – aspects that resonate strongly with today’s environmentally aware homeowners.
Lacunza’s confidence in their product is evident in their 10-year warranty, a commitment that gives both designers and clients peace of mind. This long-term guarantee, combined with exceptional build quality and timeless design, makes the Atlantic range a sound investment in your home’s future.
