Wallpaper Inn: Trending Walls
Take a look at what will be trending on walls in 2023.
Busy, colour-rich wallpapers are a huge hit with maximalist decorators in 2023. These wallpapers have the power to instantly transform a space, injecting it with colour and energy. To pull this off, bigger and bolder is definitely better.
Simple stripes
A perennial classic, 2023 will yet again see a resurgence in striped wallpaper – it’s perfect for adding subtle interest, can be installed horizontally or vertically and can be used to create a contemporary or more traditional look.
Subdued tones and designs
In contrast to bold, maximalist prints, subdued tones and designs are trending on the other side of the interior-design spectrum.
Black and White
A prominent trend in the new year will be black and white, from fashion to walls. The combo works so well because it can be visually interesting and act as a neutral against which to style other elements at the same time.
Another fun trend to look out for is small-scale patterned designs. Not only does a small print create a sense of luxury in a room but it can be used on walls and ceilings for a contemporary cocooning effect.
