Plascon House Tour: Summer Celebration in Spain
It is not very often that a home’s ceiling becomes the centre of attraction in interior design, but this gorgeous Spanish casa reminds us that one’s ceiling should never, and I repeat never, be overlooked!
There is a whimsical seaside atmosphere in this home, where white and blue add light to the interior. The open plan space includes a kitchen and dining room that opens up into a cool living space that is airy and bright. A pastel blue ceiling is emphasized here, with the colour extending slightly down onto the white walls, bringing with it a playful yet modern look that works well in this space. We see the use of vintage frames adorning the ceiling – not really a common sight in ceiling design! But the frames here add a sense of colour and enchantment. The house still bears signs of its 1960s architecture, with crown mouldings and vintage doors and shutters. With modern furniture and a neutral, bright colour palette, it feels alive and is definitely a celebration of summer tones and seaside living! A tiny, minimalist bedroom again showcases this beachy colour palette with blue, white and woody tones throughout this room. Simple, unassuming and crisp in its layout, twin beds fill out the room, and are possibly the best solution for space in this interior, which can be used together (as a master bed) or separated into two single beds. Minimalist bedside lighting hangs overhead on each side, and plain, unadorned bedside tables offer some storage on either end. Contact: Plascon Via
