Plascon House Tour: Spanish Renovation
Today’s Spanish retreat is all about the styling and beautiful modern architecture. Streamlined and bright, we love the use of space and the ease of flow from one area to the next.
Incorporating two terraces was one of the greatest successes of this renovation, which focused on the redistribution of spaces to adapt to the priorities of the current owner. The result is an enlarged living space that is contemporary and interesting – a spacious area for family enjoyment. With pops of black metal, yellow accents and metal finishes, we love the overall look and styling of this living space. A modern copper globe pendant pops above a gorgeous wooden dining table, perfectly paired with black wire seating. A modern white roller blind seems to be the perfect window treatment in this space, creating a harmonious flow to the outside without distracting from the contemporary interiors. One of our favourite features in this space is a modern glass wall that separates the living room from the kitchen, without losing light and flow here. A simply ingenious concept that not only looks great but also allows for a natural flow of light between areas and a beautiful reflective quality from the glass panels. Subtle pops of colour bring the design together and the clever use of light wooden flooring keeps the room bright and airy with layered carpets for added texture and softening touches! The bedroom is no different with beautiful bursts of sunshine yellow that inject colour and life into this space. Modern metal light fittings next to the bed complete the look. What stands out for us in the bathroom is that bold patterned tile backsplash that definitely grabs one’s attention, without overwhelming the senses. A modern black light fitting complements the tones in the tile, while contemporary double basins are sleek and sophisticated! And who ever said that a bathroom was no place for framed prints?!
