Minimalist and modern, this old Provencal farmhouse was recently transformed to breathe new life into an old-fashioned space. We love the combination of old and new – with subtle reminders about the home’s authentic past life.

In authentic country style, an oversized fireplace is a focal point in the living room – the sheer size of which makes for a bold statement in this eclectic home. A simple choice of furniture creates a fresh and uncluttered feeling in this white interior space. Modern wood, a clean palette and high ceilings bring a sense of calm here. We love the use of original wooden ceiling beams throughout this home – adding richness and depth of space. The dining room comes alive with a splendid collection of modern gold light pendants, suspended from the high ceilings above the dining room table. The shiny golden tones are beautifully reflective and make for a creative and playful display in this room. An interesting choice of vintage dining room chairs also adds to the eclectic feel of the home. Pops of dark red and blue tones add vibrancy and colour to this space; as does a modern art feature on the wall, above a simple wooden sideboard. But oh… the kitchen has a more contemporary and trendy feel to it that we simply love. Matte black cabinets are all the rage and add a dramatic and modern touch to this kitchen space. Horizontal handles further add interest and the darker shades are striking against a white wall. A massive island makes this the perfect entertainer’s kitchen! The exterior of the home is a true reflection of the house’s past – gorgeous stone walls and grey-blue shutters add to the authentic  Provencal feel of this home, and greenery abounds here!
