Plascon house Tour: A Playful Interior
Today’s bright San Fransisco residence is a feast for the eyes and contains many hidden design gems that add to the overall feel of lived in luxury and personalised yet playful design.
Historic details, dramatic ceiling heights and gorgeous lighting make today’s house tour a beautifully eclectic and modern space. We love the asymmetrical shape of the living room light fitting, made from glass and metal which creates a beautifully reflective surface in this bright living area. The fireplace is surrounded by functional storage shelving in a modern industrial finish that adds to the eclectic style of this space. We also love the use of dark drapes that bring in some contrast against a stark white interior wall. The soft pink sofa is also eye-catching – a wonderful burst of colour and style here. Dark wood flooring is gorgeous in the living space which extends into the dining room. Here vintage wooden chairs are juxtaposed against a white dining table – the unconventional combination that is both intriguing and unexpected. The kitchen makes a bold statement in trending tones of gold and indigo. Together, these colours ooze class and sophistication, adding a touch of glam to this modern kitchen space. A fun mix of golden light pendants work to enhance the space, bringing in a beautiful honey tone to balance the darker blue cabinets that pervade this area. A striking marble backsplash adds to the luxurious feel of this kitchen and geometric flooring adds a whole new dimension to this eclectic space. The bedroom is toned down a level in earthy shades that are complemented by striking golden furniture, such as a side table and lamp. We love the play on textures and materials, including fur pillows, plush headboard and then the striking reflective tones of the golden furnishing that brings in light and playfulness to this interior.
