Plascon House Tour: An interior designer’s from-scratch project
Renovating your home gives you the freedom of a blank slate to make your decor dreams come true.
An interior design student and her husband bought this home with the intention of doing a complete overhaul. Stripped to the bare bones, this design duo managed to highlight the natural beauty of the space while adding some of their favourite elements. As an open plan home, there really wasn’t much division between rooms.
This required that walls be build to divvy up the space. Another obstacle was the fact that an open plan space requires furniture and decor elements to be consistent yet appropriate for the space. This was achieved by using a neutral colour palette throughout, as well as consistent flooring. The decor is modern and fresh, with plenty of unique spots in various nooks and crannies. We love the painted brick fireplace. Contact: Plascon Via
