Plascon House Tour: Come Home to Nature in Barcelona
Light, bright and inviting – this sums up today’s family home in Barcelona. There is a richness of colour, depth and life to be found inside this home’s walls. The interior speaks of a detailed family dwelling; a place of warmth and relaxation, quality time and a celebration of life and nature.
The living space comes alive in a plethora of textures, from an abundance of scatters and throws to a beautiful statement rug that anchors the entire room. The greenery from the exterior seems to beckon one outdoors, through the full-length glass doors that can be opened up to embrace an authentic outdoor lifestyle. In fact, the outdoors is evidently celebrated in this space, with pops of natural tones and floral arrangements on display throughout. We also love that floor lamp so elegantly positioned in a gorgeous golden tone in the living room. The oaky tones of wood evidently add a richness in the living areas and we love the vibrant display of fauna on the dining room table – this makes for a fetching Spring table and a celebration of the many splendours of the season. The subtle hints of grey, in the matte light fitting and dining room chairs, also add a different dimension to this space. The bedroom seems minimalist – no art or blatant decorations of any kind, besides, yet again, a beautiful display of flowers neatly placed on the bedside table. Green is again complemented in the choice of bedding, and brings balance and energy into this room. The kitchen seems more traditional with a few quirky elements that add intrigue. The bold use of flooring, for example, is an unconventional choice but pairs well against the white backdrop of the cabinets and lighter toned walls throughout. White subway tiles are used as a modern backsplash in this space and glass cabinets further emphasise a contemporary design. Contact: Plascon Trends Via
