Plascon House Tour: A Festive Swedish Home
This beautifully simple and serene Swedish house is decorated for the holidays, with ample textures and neutral tones that are sure to welcome in a cosy and relaxed Christmas season in the Northern Hemisphere.
The living room emits an authentic sense of comfort with seating that surrounds a blazing fireplace. This is the perfect holiday meeting point for family members, with an array of soft furnishings including throws and scatters that further offer depth and soften the edges of this modern design. Grey with timber tones are contemporary and ooze an effortless sense of style.
The dining room comes alive with Christmas decor, including a full-sized Christmas tree that hints at the holidays and festive mealtimes that will be sure to take place in this dining area. A gorgeous vintage chandelier cascades over a raw wood table with the perfect mix of accessories styled for the season. The overall feel is inviting, calming and uncomplicated – a place of simplicity and easy entertaining.
The kitchen too is a celebration of neutral tones and the concrete wall finish that we see in the living spaces, extends to this part of the home. Natural wooden cabinetry is striking and provides an earthy and minimalist design that is quite fitting in this abode. Again, candles and a few sprigs of greenery add to the festive cheer of this home.
A low-lying bed in the master suite is minimalist and modern. Neutral shades work together in this space, from monochromatic art on the walls suspended from a metal clip, to the subtle shades of grey, black and white incorporated into the bed linen. The minimalist style is continued through the use of an ordinary wooden chair as bedside table. A simple yet striking abstract white tree on the bedroom floor again hints at the impending festive season.
