Plascon House Tour: Eclectic Living

Bricks, bricks and more bricks! This is the main feature in this eclectic upmarket New York loft apartment in Manhattan. exposed brickwork is a simple way to bring in an authentic industrial style to any residence, but this apartment surprises with its fresh, eclectic style that is far from conventional.

Although there is an overwhelming incorporation of exposed brickwork in this open plan space, the emphasis seems to be placed on the lightness and airness of the furniture and choice of colours that work to brighten the living room. A beautiful feature painting adds vibrancy to the main living space, while a modern white couch breathes life into this space, with an array of light scatters in complementary shades. A vintage wooden dining room table and chairs add charm here with pops of interesting shades that come together perfectly in an eclectic mix of finishes. Greenery scattered throughout the room is also a welcome addition to break from the raw edges of the brickwork. The TV area and study nook are given a new zest for life with an injection of colour through a playful gallery wall of paintings and prints that bring a new vibrancy to what could have been a dark industrial interior. Layered rugs also work to soften the overall ambiance and creates depth here. The bedroom is simple and soothing complete with a Chinese paper lantern as the main source of lighting above the bed. Simple white bedside tables add minimalist flair while modern white linene with pops of grey complete the overall sense of comfort and relaxation.   Via
