Plascon House Tour: Contemporary Melbourne Living
It’s hard to believe that today’s stylish Melbourne home was once a Range Rover Factory. Today it is beautifully elegant and functional as a family abode, with modern finishes that are perfect for contemporary living.
We love the modern streamlined look of the place, complete with aluminium windows, wooden floors and a showstopper stone kitchen island. The kitchen flows into the living room where a beautiful grey sofa system fills the space and a striking white patterned rug anchors the room and provides a touch of comfort and texture here.
Concrete floors lead to the rest of the home, adding an industrial, clean and contemporary feel to this home. A wooden staircase takes us to the second floor where the bedrooms have been separated from the rest of the house. Minimalist furnishings with a simple bench and artwork add some colour to this foyer space, along with a coloured rug that adds vibrancy against the stark industrial finishes.
The outside is an entertainer’s dream, complete with pizza oven and functional worktops for meal preparation. Modern geometric tiles add to the style of the exterior spaces and built-in seating completes this area as a functional space to enjoy the family, over good food and conversation.
