Pioneering Sun Wood by Stainer
We love the sun – the heat of the rays means life for all who get to enjoy it. But we also know that the sun can have real damaging effects on home decor and interior elements such as wood. The latest innovations in woodcare ensure that you no longer have to worry about lasting sun damage on your prized wooden finishes.
For over 40 years, Stainer has been known for new and extraordinary solutions in interior and exterior design projects. With a team of over 60 individuals, the company prides itself on delivering innovation and unique product offerings such as flexible Sun Wood technology. 100% planted, grown and finished in Austria.
The innovative, flexible Sun Wood technology is a surface treatment which shapes, refines and protects the appearance of wood. The first aged wood models, known under the brand name “Sun Wood”, were created in 2010 and reproduced on 3-layer panels. Continuous development and improvement processes have led over the years to a product range of over 20 different aged wood decors and 50 precious woods. The current model ensures that product palettes reflect the passion of the company founder for wood and for the protection of endangered wood species. According to the motto “Sustainable Development”, only spruce wood, harvested according to strict sustainability standards, is used for the reproduction of the old – and precious wood tables. Sun Wood Decor can be applied to diverse support materials.
Distinctive surfaces with chipped and brushed structure, made from spruce 3-layer panels, are thus transformed into an optimal material for the realization of interior projects as well as for private clients. The Sun Wood 3-layer panels chipped and brushed are also available as officially classified fire protection panels.
The spruce panels are tested according to DIN EN 13 501-1 standards. After undergoing successful tests and multiple testing procedures, Sun Wood by Stainer achieved the fire performance rating: B-s2, d0. Sun Wood Fire Protection Panels have a universal application.
For example, in living-, sleeping- or dining areas, for ceiling- and wall panelling, furniture construction, doors or saunas and naturally, everywhere where structural fire protection is required. The fulfilment of the VOC-regulation for interior use (according to the EU definition without organic solvents) and the manufacture by means of protected processes, guarantee the high quality of these innovative wood products.
