Plascon House Tour: An imaginative London Home

Vibrant hues and mixed media with a plethora of textures and styles all add to this lovely London abode. Parquet wooden flooring runs throughout the home, and the geometric flow of wooden blocks can be seen from the entryway and kitchen through to the living room and bedrooms.

Here the kitchen really is the heart of the home. A big open-plan space with island is inviting and oh so spacious – an entertainer’s dream. Raw and stainless steel, natural wood and emerald subway tiles make up this magical family space. The use of vintage and industrial light fittings in the kitchen add a sense of old world charm that is often lacking in many contemporary homes. Pops of subtle green tones can be found throughout and hint at the home’s intrinsic connection to nature. This space naturally leads into a large living room where the green undertones and natural wood finishes are carried throughout the interior. We love the wood and glass display cabinets that seem to frame the living room – beautifully decorated with books, vases and intricate ceramics that are eclectic and add exotic interest. Greenery is carried through various elements in the living spaces, from the detailed floral prints of the ottoman and armchair with ferns, to the green striped roller blinds, framed artwork, and many potted plants to be found throughout. As if a focal area on its own, a bright yellow pantry closet makes a bold statement. Offset by beautiful antiques, white crockery and glassware, the pantry is illuminated by the vivacious paint palette that contrasts against a grey entryway and textured grey walls. Tucked away from the floral prints and greenery so evident in the living spaces, we then find a very masculine industrial-styled gym in darker shades of blue, with browns and natural wood finishes. With exposed metal pipes, antique lighting and large mirrors suspended from ropes – this looks like the ideal man cave that leads into a lounge and bar area in a similar colour palette. We love the wood panelled wall, oversized couch and beautifully textured ceiling that so effortlessly adds to the overall look of this manly interior. Overall, a stunning designer’s retreat that strikes a balance between masculine and feminine; floral greenery and moodier tones. Shopping  List: Plascon Trends               Via
