House Tour: The new femininity
A dramatic display of new-age feminism is rocking today’s house tour. Elaborate, detailed and dark, this cozy she-cave is a wonderful example of how sometimes more is more.
Trendy exposed brickwork makes this home an ideal for 2017. A robust collection of different textures and textiles turns overdone into daring. Rather than cramping this home’s style, flowing fabrics in intricate details break the darkly painted walls. Florals, tassels and antiques transform this eclectic space into a livable sanctuary.
We love the bright pops of pink and blue to compliment the distressed wooden furniture and white-washed walls. Our favourite room is arguably the bedroom where oh-so soft velour makes a surprise appearance. The use of an antique tapestry as a wall feature lends an air of mystique that makes us keep looking back for more.
