The African Touch: Campaign Field Bars
The true beauty of Africa is often experienced outdoors through the continent’s majestic landscapes. The African Touch brings the splendour of Africa to our homes through the crafting of timeless wood furniture. Here we introduce their latest range of campaign furniture featuring a collection of field bars.
The Hemingway Field Bar
The Hemingway Field Bar is named after Ernest Hemingway, American novelist and journalist who loved to Safari in Africa and was fond of a glass or two after a hot day’s hunting or fishing. It is designed in the tradition of British Army campaign furniture to be portable and quick to set up on Safari for sundowners at days end or as a beautiful piece to adorn your home / lodge and impress those guests!
Interior divisions provide secure storage for crystal glasses and decanters, while the fold down front is an excellent mixing tray! Solid brass corner blocks and straps protect this fine piece from knocks and bashes. A total of 14 compartments for glasses, 8 for bottles and 2 for decanters or ice buckets.
The Campaign Field Bar
The Hemingway is the Big Brother of our Field bars. There are other treats as well! The Campaign Field Bar is a little more compact and comes with a tray table as optional extra. It is ideal for overseas export and right size for courier delivery. The campaign sports a total of 18 compartments for bottles and glasses.
The Safari
The Safari is designed for taking on Safari or picnics, with very comfortable leather carry handles and a double padded canvas cover as optional extra. It is normally finished with oil for outdoor use and has 16 compartments.
Mini Field Bar
The baby of the family is the Mini Field Bar, ideal to surprise your guests in their rooms! Compartments for 4 bottles and 4 glasses.
Canvas Wash Stand
Another very useful addition to the Field Bar is the Canvas Wash Stand, not only as a convenient wash stand in your bush camp, but also as an ice bucket to cool your favourite bubbly while romancing in the wilds!
