Pedrali & Inova Contracts: A Pleasant Break Between The Lake & The Hills

Modern and innovative, Philiaz is a concept restaurant and a cocktail bar located in the heart of Caldaro, on the Wine Road, a panoramic location surrounded by the vineyards in the Oltradige area. The name draws inspiration from Phileas Fogg, the protagonist of the famous novel “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne in which the main topic is the journey.

Philiaz in fact makes a journey around the world possible thanks to the dishes inspired by the places visited by the novel’s protagonist.

The project of the space was curated by Bergundtal architectural studio based in Brunico. An elegant entrance leads to a wide outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery and set up with contemporary and versatile furniture. Tribeca armchair, designed by CMP Design and recognizable for its summery traits, draws inspiration from the classic Sixties patio chairs made from steel and woven material. They are here proposed in white and combined with Arki-Base tables.

A pleasant and relaxing outdoor living room comes to life thanks to Reva collection, designed by Patrick Jouin, Stylus tables and Island poufs. It is a true corner of relaxation in which Reva sofas and lounge armchairs release their essence: smooth lines and generous sizes that call to mind the typical dreamy sensations of summertime.

The same terrace sees Babila armchairs, designed by Odo Fioravanti, proposed in a grey version with polypropylene shell, matched with Ypsilon tables designed by Jorge Pensi.

The warm and cosy indoor is characterized by the shades of grey and brown at the entrance of the cocktail bar and by darker tones in the restaurant dining room, where wide windows enable the entrance of natural light allowing moreover to enjoy the surrounding landscape offering an exclusive view on the hills and the near stretch of water.

Pedrali solutions recall a sophisticated and trendy mood. The emerald green of upholstered Babila armchairs gives more elegance to the restaurant and dialogues with the space while defining a comfortable atmosphere. A more industrial look is, on the other hand, suggested by Arki-Base tables with central base and by Arki-Table that perfectly fit into this setting.

Babila collection is able to move along tradition and innovation with great agility and its strength lies in its simplicity and directness, to recall a timeless shape. Because of this, together with for the restaurant and for the outdoor, it was selected for the cocktail bar also, in which the contrast between light and dark as well as between classic and modern prevails. Barstools and armchairs with padded shell are paired with Inox tables.

REVA – Design Patrick Jouin
An elegant three-seat sofa, a lounge armchair and a sun lounger: Reva is an outdoor collection with smooth lines and generous sizes that calls to mind relaxing and dreamy atmospheres. Its clean design is underlined by the four tapered legs that support a thin extruded aluminium frame. The soft cushions provided make the comfort greater.

Reva Twist was launched in 2020, characterised by backrest and armrests woven with a flat rope in weather-resistant polypropylene, for a more natural appearance.

TRIBECA – Design CMP Design
Tribeca takes us back in time with a modern reinterpretation of classic Sixties patio chairs made from steel and woven material. Tribeca is an outdoor seating collection that draws inspiration from childhood memories of summer: a sunlit Mediterranean square where children play, while a woven chair throws shadows of its cords onto the cobblestones. A true icon, revisited with new materials: a steel frame, combined with the elasticity of a profile in vertically-woven plastic material that is remarkably durable, easy to clean and colourful. Handcrafted with the highest attention to detail, this chair is incredibly soft and comfortable and puts a contemporary twist on tradition with its cutting-edge design and quality.

The cording is arranged to give a fresh and dynamic sense of rhythm and openness to every version whether it’s the chair, armchair, stool in two different heights, lounge chair or two-seater sofa. Tribeca is one of the products selected for the ADI Design Index and competes for the Compasso d’Oro 2020.

BABILA – Design Odo Fioravanti
Babila collection is able to move along tradition and innovation with great agility. The strength of this collection is its simplicity and directness, to recall a timeless shape. The chair is characterized by a shell made of plywood with variable thickness, technopolymer or upholstered in fabric or simil leather and it is available with legs in solid ash wood, steel tube or with steel rod sled frame. The armchair has a polypropylene shell, that may be upholstered in fabric or simil leather, it is combined with legs in solid ash wood, steel tube, with steel rod sled frame or central base.

The Babila ash wood barstool has an extreme lightweight look: the die-casted aluminium footrest is perfectly jointed to the legs without the addition of support parts and an element in die-cast aluminium guarantees the support for the feet. Another version of Babila barstool, provided with backrest, features a shell with a curved silhouette characterized by a cut in the backrest which is available in polypropylene or upholstered in fabric or simil-leather. This barstool may be combined with tapered legs in ash joined together by a die-cast aluminium ring that acts as footrest, or with steel rod sled frame.

Babila Comfort completes the collection combining a large upholstered shell, featured by soft lines and reclined backrest, with different types of frame: four ash wood legs, steel tube sled frame and aluminium swivel base with return mechanism. The armrest is defined by a moulding that runs along the profile of the armchair.

In 2020 Babila XL adds a new furniture element to the collection. An armchair with a polypropylene shell that stands out for the large dimensions of its seat and armrests with a padded removable lining.
