Kare Design: Who Said Brown Was Boring?
Who said brown was boring? We can think of a number of other words starting with a ‘B’ to describe this fundamental hue! Brave, bold, and blissful, to mention a few. Here we bring you the latest from Kare Design and how to decorate with brown in an unconventional way.
Brown is timeless.
Similar to black, brown has a way of anchoring a design scheme and making a room feel more grounded and put together. For this reason, you can go bold with brown and choose this colour for some of the bigger pieces in a room. A big brown sofa can become a much-loved furniture piece. What about a brown console table, framed mirror, lighting and more? It’s timeless and you can’t go wrong with a mix of elements in this classic tone.
Brown in neutral
Don’t get us wrong, neutral does not mean bland. It simply means that it can work in a variety of settings and complements a host of other styles and colours. Brown and gold, for example, is a beautifully refined colour combo! As we head into autumn, brown and orange make for a gorgeous seasonal palette, while brown and green (think sage or olive green) can help transform a room into a calming oasis inspired by nature!
Brown in natural
It’s obvious that brown is one of the fundamental colours found in nature itself. The many variations of wood, for example, should get you excited when you consider brown as an organic material. This means it has a wonderful effect of bringing the outdoors right into your interior. Choose woody tones that reflect the outdoors and create your own retreat inside!
Brown is definitely not limiting. It should be high up on your priority list of colour choices. Shop the look at Kare Design.
