In conversation with Sean Williams, founder of SW Contracts
Sean Williams certainly has an eye for detail. His successful company, SW Contracts, is in the business of sourcing only the finest Italian furniture, decor and homeware products.
Real quality at competitive prices are what separates SW Contracts from the rest. With a mindset that values service delivery and value, we wanted to find out a bit more about Sean Williams and what makes him tick…
When did you start SW Contracts (SWC)?
I started SW Contracts in March 2002.
What have some of your career highlights been?
My career highlight definitely has to be starting the SW Living Creatures Trusts with the profits generated from the SW business. I’ve always had a passion for animals, especially those that are endangered and are facing extinction. My daily highlight is seeing the smiles and receiving gratitude from the various schooling and outreach projects I’m involved with. It gives me great joy to see the people that I’ve helped become financially independent and progress in their business ventures.

What or who inspires you?
I’m inspired by the successes of other businesses as they motivate me to do better and to improve on my daily operations. I’m also proud of the personal growth I’ve undergone, that has made me a better business man, leader and colleague. I’ve learned so much from my challenges and successes that has enabled me to steer my business to where it is now. I’ve become a source of inspiration to my staff, community as well as to myself
What do you with your spare time?
I’m an outdoors type of person. I enjoy seeing and experiencing different things in nature and places. This is why I love mountain biking and travelling around the world because it forces you to be out there. I also spend a lot of my time going on trips to find animals that need help. I try by any means to live life to the fullest. Believe it or not but I’ve completed 99% of my bucket list which is a really great feeling. I feel very blessed to have achieved so much in such a short space of time.

What’s your motto?
To live life to the fullest, always
What’s next for Sean Williams?
This is a very interesting question as I haven’t put much thought into it. I would love to start consulting at a point and helping people understand the importance of excellent service delivery and having good ethical practices especially towards the customers. Another skill I’d like to teach them is the importance of following up with the client to retain a good customer relationship.
