Diva Cucine: Well Hello Milan!
As the agent for Colombini Casa South Africa, as well as neighbouring countries of Southern Africa, being part of the Milan Fair has offered the Diva Cucine team insight into the newest trends and overall approaches being applied by all relevant design houses and brands.
Italy is a design hub and designers often converge in Milan to see and set the latest trends. This year was no different at the Milan Fair. Excitement mounted here as EuroCucine’s new ranges and colour palettes were brought to life, utilised by their very own in-house Italian Designer Armanda Ferriani of well-known Design House Ferrian Studio Firenze. His approach this year was to create spaces of absolute “luxury”, making use of rich colour hues such as ruby reds, burgundy, deep and rich textures, combined with glass, velvets and anything “sexy” and sensual, leaving the homeowner feeling indulged within their personal spaces.
Imagine the team’s delight when they had the honour of bumping into Karim Rashid (world famous industrial designer) during the Milan Fair. Everyone who knows anything about industrial design would know that he is possibly one of the most talented designers of our present time.
As you know, one of the main drawcards about the Diva Group brand is that they are able to offer pretty much a turn-key solution to the homeowner. In so much as they not only design kitchens and wardrobe solutions, but in addition to this, also design and supply custom-made furnishings throughout the home. These include sofas, TV units, wall units, reading areas, and furnishings to match and compliment carefully selected wardrobe designs. This ensures a flow and “constant” feel throughout the home.
Their store is not a retail store but one that is project driven and the team mostly work with architects and interior designers. Their approach to client discovery is very personal and the team’s presentation to all clients remain focused entirely on personal needs and lifestyle.
This year’s new releases are exciting and tempting for homeowners looking for something new and fresh – different to what everyone else has on offer locally!
