At 3daysofdesign 2026, Barker Street presents Italian furniture brand Lapalma with Colour Landscapes Lapalma 3daysofdesign 2026, an immersive installation that explores colour as a tool for shaping atmosphere, perception, and contemporary living. Presented within FRAMING at Copenhagen’s historic Odd Fellow Palace, the exhibition marks the first presentation in the city of the brand’s New Colour System, developed in collaboration with architect and designer Raffaella Mangiarotti.

Colour as an experience

Rooted in extensive research into Lapalma‘s chromatic memory, the new system reinterprets historical tones. It also introduces a series of fresh gradations that expand the brand’s visual language. Comprising 16 carefully considered shades, the palette explores colour through essence, materiality, and tactility. Sometimes presented in contrast, sometimes as a monoblock composition, colour becomes more than a visual element. It becomes atmosphere, relationship, and experience.

Designed by Mangiarotti, the installation transforms the exhibition space into a soft, suspended environment. Semi-transparent white fabric wraps walls and windows. This creates a light and ethereal backdrop where colour can be experienced as a durable architectural quality rather than a decorative finish. Throughout the space, visitors are invited to consider how colour shapes identity, influences perception, and defines the way environments are experienced.

Curated designs

Within this setting, Lapalma’s new palette comes to life through a carefully curated selection of furnishings that span the brand’s history and latest design research. Francesco Rota’s PLUS modular seating system forms the heart of the installation, while WOD by Raffaella Mangiarotti introduces a subtle architectural presence. Designs including ZA SYSTEM, SELTZ, HAWI, KILI, and the iconic LEM stool demonstrate how the new colour language can refresh established collections while creating a cohesive dialogue between form, material, and function.

More than a product showcase, Colour Landscapes reflects Lapalma’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful, human-centred design. By exploring colour as an architectural and emotional tool, the exhibition offers a compelling vision for contemporary interiors. Here atmosphere, craftsmanship, and everyday living are brought into effortless balance.
