Zorora Sofas: Bringing a South African Design Story to Sibaya, Durban

Zorora Sofas, a proudly South African brand, has opened its first KwaZulu-Natal showroom. As such, it brings a story of local design and craftsmanship to Durban’s North Coast.

The showroom officially opened on 1 October 2026 at Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure Centre in Sibaya Coastal City. This is a celebration of style as Zorora brings its locally manufactured, made-to-order sofas closer to Durban’s homeowners and design enthusiasts.

Designed for Living, Made in South Africa

Every Zorora sofa begins with an in-house design team. This team works alongside local manufacturing artisans to prototype, refine and perfect each design. Frames are precision cut and reinforced with solid wood. As a result, every piece is built in South Africa to last.

The name Zorora means “rest” in Shona. This reflects a brand that is proudly South African, proudly African and committed to lifting others as it grows. Customers choose their fabric, size and configuration, from compact Loveseats to family sofas, L-shapes and modular designs.

A Showroom Experience Worth Sitting Down For

Choosing the right sofa is best done in person. The Sibaya showroom lets customers explore different seating styles. Here you can feel fabric textures and discover the comfort behind each design. Visitors can try pieces from the Essentials, Icons and Signature collections, including favourites such as the relaxed Zola, the elegant Lira Luxe and the contemporary Nobu.

Interior designers and decorators can also use the space to explore fabrics, compare proportions and consider configurations for their projects.

A New Chapter on the North Coast

With an established presence in Gauteng and the Western Cape, the expansion into KwaZulu-Natal is an important milestone for the growing brand. More than a new retail location, it reflects Zorora’s commitment to making locally manufactured furniture accessible across South Africa.
