Pianca unveils Regina
What Italian furniture dreams are made of, Pianca has just unveiled the Regina modern armchair designed by Pier Luigi Frighetto.
Described as “snug, comfortable and anything but conventional”, the contemporary piece is characterised by generous, oversized volumes created through the use of simple, organic shapes.
A beautiful addition to any decor scheme “Pier Luigi Frighetto mixes playfulness and sobriety to create an armchair that concentrates more markedly on one aspect or the other, purely via the choice of covering and the decor scheme it fits into,” explains Pianca of the design.
The focus on aesthetics goes hand in hand with functional attributes.
“Soft and inviting, Regina is an upholstered armchair with oversized volumes, perfect for the living room or bedroom. The organic design features generous, curvy shapes, while special polyurethane padding ensures unrivalled softness. The result is snuggling into a warm, reassuring, textural embrace. The discreet feet, a solid support, echo the curvy shape of the seat,” says Pianca.
Available in a range of fabrics and leathers from the Pianca Collection, including the Green Collection, the Regina modern armchair can be customised to suit all tastes – a key consideration of all of Pianca’s designs.
“We love design capable of adapting to the flow of a changing world and the flexible people living in it,” explains the company. “Our approach to design aims at customising products and places to meet the needs of people whose lifestyles are based on flexibility, mobility and change but who still want to feel at home no matter what.”
