Moroso x Lane Crawford: A Sculptural Showcase of Italian Design at Pacific Place Hong Kong
This September, Hong Kong welcomes an extraordinary meeting of Italian artistry and contemporary design as Moroso unveils its exclusive installation for Lane Crawford Bespoke Italia at Pacific Place. Opening September 25, 2025 and running for a month, the showcase invites visitors into an immersive world where sculptural furniture, luxurious textiles, and creative vision converge. Be inspired with True Design.
“Doodle” captures the playful essence of spontaneous creativity. Designed by the group Front, its embroidered lines—reminiscent of casual sketches—grace a soft, blanket-like cover draped over a gently curved frame, where the ends seamlessly rise into armrests.
Bold Collaborations through the decades
Founded in 1952, Moroso has built a reputation for bold, expressive design shaped by enduring collaborations with names such as Patricia Urquiola, Ron Arad, Sebastian Herkner, and Front Design. Under the direction of Patrizia Moroso, the atelier has championed furniture as both functional and artistic, embodying a spirit of innovation that transcends fleeting trends.

Smocking stitch embroidery reimagined — transformed into a sleek, sculptural chair that feels like slipping into your favorite tank top or carrying a bamboo bag. Soft yet structured, sophisticated yet daring. A nest of comfort framed in chrome, born from craftsmanship and innovation.
Celebrating Icons
The Pacific Place installation highlights this ethos through a curated selection of icons. Garcia Cumini’s Me-Time sofa, unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2025, anchors the display with its enveloping comfort and flowing lines. Sebastian Herkner’s Pipe armchair makes a sculptural statement, reinterpreted with Kvadrat/Raf Simons fabrics. Patricia Urquiola’s Smock armchair demonstrates her mastery of textile manipulation, while Front Design’s Doodle chair transforms hand-drawn sketches into playful metal embroidery.

Adding further distinction, Moroso introduces a bespoke edit of textiles from its Kvadrat/Raf Simons collaboration. From the organic bouclé of Atom to the liquid sheen of Byram, the plush mohair-alpaca blend of Einar and the Astrakhan-inspired Helia, each fabric celebrates both craftsmanship and sustainability.
PIPE COLLECTION
Design: Sebastian Herkner, 2019 Coarse before fine — a bold choice against the trend. Minimalist yet oversized, with an 80mm powder-coated aluminium frame. A soft, rounded seat hints at inflatables; the backrest, a bold parenthesis of comfort. Casual, light, and reassuringly simple.
Come and explore
Visitors can book private appointments to explore the collection in depth, engaging with Moroso’s design philosophy and bespoke opportunities. The launch will be marked by a celebratory cocktail event on September 25, featuring Frescobaldi Wines, illy Caffè, and Davines.
