Me-Time by Garcia Cumini: A Sculptural Sofa Designed for Slower Living
Designed by Vicente García Jiménez and Cinzia Cumini, Me-Time isn’t just a sofa; it’s a quiet revolution in relaxation. With its generous proportions and softened, sculptural form, this piece offers more than a place to sit. It creates a space to retreat, to slow the pace, and to embrace stillness.
Crafted for Moroso, Me-Time is tactile and enveloping, its curves shaped to echo the feeling of a long exhale. The designers describe it as “a suspended moment,” a piece that invites you to sink in and let go. Every detail, from the gentle undulations of the armrests to the softly overflowing silhouette, has been carefully considered to evoke a sense of balance, intimacy, and warmth.
A subtle play on the familiar, the sofa draws from collective memory while evolving into something quietly contemporary. Its fabric does more than clothe the frame; it flows, pools, and softens, like batter rising beyond its mould. Nowhere is this more evident than in the chaise longue, where the cushion spills generously over the edges – a visual metaphor for comfort beyond constraint.
Not just furniture, but a feeling, Me-Time transforms any room into a personal sanctuary.
