Naan
Sometimes, the secret lies in simplicity. That is how it is for the renowned Indian naan bread, and so it is for the armchair of the same name, designed by Federica Biasi: a compact, embracing volume with soft, gentle contours. The structure develops from a square base with rounded corners into one single block form, projecting it into the space, with no interruption, creating an inviting volume. Slim, tapered armrests and backrest enclose a generous seat. The absence of voids gives the armchair a precise, elegant look of balanced form and geometry, both visible and invisible. The Naan armchair is also available as a swivel chair and is a product that suits any space, conceived for home living areas, public spaces and hospitality venues. Its intrinsic simplicity makes it a piece of furniture that matches a wealth of decor styles.
Teatro
Transparency, lightness, linearity. The new Teatro walk-in closet was designed to create a subtle frame for everything it contains. The essential, elegant supporting structure becomes a visible, distinctive geometric form, perfectly suited to any environment and style. The passing frame dividers, with no interior panels, ensure visual and spacial continuity, emphasising the lightness of the architecture. The free-standing structure allows the walk-in closet to be fitted against a wall, without anchoring, or in the centre of the room, making Teatro a window display or an island, suitable not only for private spaces, but also contract spaces. Adding back panels, side panels and doors in transparent or reeded glass gives plenty of scope for a custom design, whatever the style and functional requirements.
Murano
Flowing surfaces, as simple as the material they are made of. The collection of Pianca door front is enriched by Murano, a homage to the timeless appeal of Murano glass. The perimeter frame of the front is designed to resemble the frame of a work of art: the chamfered edge frames the front discreetly, with understated beauty, enhancing without imposing on the style. Glass thus remains the absolute protagonist of subtle contemporary bedroom furniture. The Murano door, available in transparent or reeded glass, can be used with the new Teatro and Sipario walk-in closets.
Peonia
The new seat designed by Cristina Celestino for Pianca unfurls like a flower in Spring. And it is indeed nature, with her perfect geometries, that provides the inspiration for Peonia’s creative genesis. Sculptural and inviting, it captures the eternal becoming of every living thing in its forms; the tension to a constant and inescapable perpetual movement. The shell of the armchair is composed of different surfaces, arranged in an evocative crescendo that recalls the petals of a corolla. The sofa of the same design becomes an elegantly regal seat. The modular geometric forms allow infinite combinations to created, experimenting with various levels and heights, solids and voids. The entire structure is fabric upholstered in a continuum of colours and textures in the base and seat.
Calatea
Details that are transformed into distinctive elements, in a game of renewed proportions and functions. Designed by Cristina Celestino, Calatea is a chair with organic shapes, whose lines are inspired by those of the tropical evergreen from which it takes its name. The backrest, made of matt lacquered polyurethane, thanks to its ergonomic shapes, offers itself welcoming and comfortable support, peculiar and distinctive also due to the presence of a small slit on the upper part of the back. Optional, the backrest cushion: padded like the seat, it makes Calatea even more enveloping, ensuring optimal comfort. The coverings are available in all the fabrics of the Pianca collections, while the legs can be chosen in open pore lacquered wood or in essence. The Calatea chair joins the armchair of the same name which, with its debut in 2017, marked the beginning of the collaboration between Cristina Celestino and Pianca.
