Kare Design: How To Decorate With Pantone’s Colours of the Year 2021
A refreshing colour palette where a neutral is paired with a vibrant burst of colour! It’s Pantone’s colours of the year for 2021 and we’re loving the vibrancy of this stunning duo!
We’re all looking to inspire hope after a year of fighting a global pandemic. Pantone has embraced this feeling with their choices of ‘Ultimate Grey’ and ‘Illuminating’ Yellow as their top choices for 2021.
“The selection of two independent colours highlight how different elements come together to express a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting, conveying the idea that it’s not about one color or one person, it’s about more than one,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
It’s also a powerful symbol as we step into a new year and look to a brighter future for all.
So, how do you bring this colour palette home?
Kare Design shares some innovative ways to embrace these bold tones…
- Simple dining room seating is a great way to bring Ultimate Grey and Illuminating Yellow into your home this season. Pair these colours in a dining room for a trendy look. Mix and match the tones and allow these to shine in the room.
- Underfoot comfort. A rug is another easy way to change up your colour scheme. A bright yellow rug as the Antique Yellow Carpet (6) from Kare Design offers a fresh burst of colour to inspire any setting.
- In the bedroom. How gorgeous is this Modern Chinese wedding cupboard in fresh yellow (3). A great combination of clean-lined, reduced forms, graphic elements and strong colour.
- A sophisticated bar counter. Bring style to your entertainment space this festive season with stylish bar stools in the latest colour palette. Take a look at the Lady Rock Yellow Bar Stool (8) from Kare Design for a truly magical and bright addition to your space.
