Introducing the latest from Moroso – Rows – now available at True Design
Rows by Moroso – where geometry meets grace.
The latest from Moroso, Patricia Urquiola’s Rows furniture collection for Moroso is a testament to the elegance found in geometric precision.
“With linear forms and clear-cut symmetries, the Rows collection by Patricia Urquiola is geometrical and minimalist, expressing a refined artistic concept,” says Moroso.
The inspiration for Rows comes from the nature morte of Amédée Ozenfant, a pioneer of the Purism movement and the curved milled edge running along the surface pays homage to this artistic influence.
Doors, side panels, and table bases in the collection strike a balance between formal and decorative, embodying a sense of sophisticated simplicity.
The storage series, a highlight of the collection, includes sideboards, a cabinet and a console table with drawers, designed for both dining and living spaces.
Crafted from particleboard with an oak veneer finish, the furniture maintains an artisanal feel while embracing industrial production methods.
Urquiola extends her expressive design language to the two tables within the Rows collection
“Both pieces show a strong contrast between the solidity of structure, the graphic effect of the surfaces and the linearity of the table top,” explains Moroso.
“The Vertical table, designed with a nod to classical architecture, brings to mind the fluting of a column. This generously-sized table is a sophisticated statement piece that adds all the charm and strength of iconic architecture.
“The sculpture influence is even more evident in Diagonal, a table whose perpendicular geometry and oblique lines add more movement to the structure.”
More than mere furniture, Rows is an artful exploration of design that captivates the eye and elevates the essence of contemporary living.
